An Lac Ward (HCMC): Inspecting and handling 2 illegal constructions that have existed for many years

On November 13, the People's Committee of An Lac Ward (HCMC) said it had directed the Department of Economics - Infrastructure - Urban Areas to check the origin of the land, the construction process - existence, to handle two construction violations at two locations: the corner of Road No. 3 and Le Co Street; the corner of Road No. 3 and the extended Road 2B.

Previously, many residents of An Lac ward reported that the two above-mentioned constructions were built illegally, but have existed for many years. Here, the owner of the constructions also organizes a drinking business. At night, customers come to eat and drink, parking their cars, occupying almost the entire roadway, obstructing traffic and endangering passing vehicles.

Illegal construction at the corner of Road No. 3 and Road 2B extension will build some additional items inside by the end of October 2025.

Mr. Pham Cong Manh, who lives on Le Co Street, said: “We have repeatedly reported the above violations to the neighborhood and ward. Each time, urban and land officials came down to check, but afterwards everything remained the same, the two violating constructions still existed. The people of the two shops even threatened and challenged the surrounding people to sue.”

While the above violations have not been handled, at the end of October 2025, the owners of the two above-mentioned constructions continued to expand, build rooms and some other items inside the constructions, causing outrage among local people.
