The conference addressed the following issues: Organizing the People's Representatives Conference of Dai Mo Ward in 2026; organizing a conference to gather opinions from residents regarding candidates; reviewing, compiling, and posting the voter list for the election of representatives to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in Dai Mo Ward; and implementing the plan to give Tet gifts to policy beneficiaries and meritorious individuals in the ward.
At the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Phuong, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dai Mo Ward, presented the joint plan for organizing a conference of people's representatives to discuss building cultural life at the grassroots level in 2026. According to the plan, the conference of people's representatives at the residential group level will be held from January 17th to 31st, and the ward-level conference is expected to be held before February 9th.
The conference aimed to promote the role of the government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front in creating conditions for people to participate in discussions and contribute opinions on the task of building cultural life at the grassroots level; to further consolidate national unity and improve the quality of the "All People Unite to Build a Cultural Life" movement in residential areas. The conference also assessed the results of implementing the Resolution of the People's Representatives Conference in 2025; and identified goals, targets, tasks, and key solutions to effectively implement the work of building cultural life at the grassroots level in 2026.
Also at the conference, the Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Department of Dai Mo Ward, Pham Van Khang, presented the plan to organize a conference to gather opinions from voters residing in the ward regarding candidates for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; to review, compile, and post the voter list for the election in the ward; and to implement the plan for giving gifts for the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026 and to congratulate and celebrate the longevity of the elderly.
Accordingly, the People's Committee of the ward presented Tet gifts to 373 people with meritorious services, totaling over 73 million VND; and gifts to 510 people receiving social welfare benefits and social retirement allowances, totaling 153 million VND…
Speaking at the conference, the Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Mai Trong Thai ward requested the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward to continue strengthening Party building in terms of politics , ideology, and ethics. The ward should do a good job of disseminating, thoroughly understanding, and strictly implementing the resolutions and directives of the Party; linking the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style with the fulfillment of political tasks and the exemplary responsibilities of cadres and Party members, especially those in leadership positions.
The ward focuses on leading socio-economic development in a sustainable direction; strengthening land management and construction order; paying attention to environmental protection and building a civilized and modern ward; focusing on cultural and social development, preserving and promoting the traditional cultural identity of the locality; and organizing well the activities to take care of the people during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, ensuring "no one is left behind".
Regarding election work, Comrade Mai Trong Thai emphasized that all units should proactively take the initiative in all aspects to successfully organize the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; strictly and correctly implement the regulations of the election process, especially the organization of meetings to gather opinions from voters in their places of residence regarding candidates.
In addition, the ward is promoting administrative reform, digital transformation, strengthening dialogue, and listening to the opinions of the people; effectively implementing the motto of a government that is close to the people, serving the people, contributing to building Dai Mo ward into a prosperous, beautiful, and civilized area.
