Recently, in the beach area next to the observation deck of Binh Son Marine Park (in Binh Son Beach - Ninh Chu), many rocks have appeared on the sand, causing locals and tourists to worry about safety issues, as some people have been scratched due to hitting rocks.

According to actual records, the coastal and underwater areas at the beach next to the Binh Son Marine Park observation deck have many rocks of various sizes scattered around. Some rocks have sharp edges, protruding from the water surface, posing a potential safety risk to residents and tourists playing and swimming in this area. Although the local authorities and residents have cleaned up, every time there are big waves or high tides, the sand layer is washed away, revealing the rocks, some of which are submerged under the seawater, making it difficult to observe, causing danger to residents and tourists when swimming.
Due to the impact of ocean waves, the sand layer is eroded, causing a series of rocks to be exposed along the coast. |
The beach area is part of Binh Son Sea Park. There is a spacious parking lot, beautiful scenery with green poplar trees close to the sea. This area has also invested in building a watchtower, toilets, and fresh water showers, attracting a large number of tourists, especially in the summer. However, the appearance of the rocks is affecting the image of the beach. Mr. Ngo Quang Dung (a resident of Dong Hai ward) said: "I do not dare let my children and grandchildren go swimming in this area because there have been some cases of children slipping and hitting the rocks. If left for a long time, it will affect the tourism image of the locality, so the authorities need to quickly check and handle it." Ms. Nguyen Phuong Tram (a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) shared that her 10-year-old son had a scratch on his leg due to hitting a rock while playing and swimming in the sea.

Although local authorities have put up ropes and warning signs, this is only a temporary solution. Discussing this issue, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy - Secretary of the Party Committee of Dong Hai Ward said: "Previously, the Binh Son beach area had experienced landslides caused by waves. To overcome this, the People's Committee of Phan Rang - Thap Cham City (old) has implemented construction to reinforce the coastal road and observation tower. During the reinforcement process, the construction unit built embankments, embellished the landscape and poured a layer of rocks to block waves and protect the project. According to regulations, after completing the construction, this layer of rocks must be buried deep and covered with sea sand to cover and protect the project. However, due to the impact of sea waves, the sand layer was eroded, causing a series of rocks to be exposed along the coast. The locality has directed relevant units to review and immediately handle areas with exposed rocks. In the short term, the construction unit is required to continue to bury the rock layer deeper and cover it with a thicker layer of sand to ensure safety. In the long term, the locality will invite a consulting unit to redesign the overall the entire area, and at the same time recommend that the Provincial People's Committee allocate funding to completely handle the above situation."
