Lien Hoa Ward: Accelerating 100 days and nights of construction to improve the quality of urban areas and residential areas

Aiming to complete the criteria for improving the quality of urban areas and residential areas and contributing to the roadmap to turn Quang Ninh into a centrally-run city before 2030, Lien Hoa ward is implementing many synchronous and drastic solutions. From mid-November 2025, the ward launched the "100-day and night campaign to build and improve the quality of urban areas and residential areas" to create a vibrant competitive atmosphere, spread strongly and received high participation and consensus from the people.

Implementing Plan No. 272 dated October 21, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee on construction and improvement of urban and residential area quality to achieve the goal of Quang Ninh province becoming a centrally-run city before 2030, Lien Hoa ward has reviewed, appraised and identified 18 urgent infrastructure upgrading investment projects with a total investment of VND 57.19 billion. At the end of November 2025, the ward completed procedures and started construction of 14 projects; the remaining 4 projects will start construction before December 20, 2025.

Many practical projects for residents' lives will soon be implemented such as: Upgrading the concrete road of alley 35, lane 88 Pham Tu Nghi street (Lien Hoa 1 quarter), urban beautification, renovation, upgrading of sidewalks, flower gardens on Quan market road, upgrading the riverside road in Lien Hoa 7 quarter... These are projects that contribute to improving the urban appearance and enhancing the quality of infrastructure in existing residential areas.

In parallel with the investment preparation work, Lien Hoa ward launched the "100-day and night campaign to build and improve the quality of urban areas and residential areas" from November 12, 2025. The campaign aims to mobilize the combined strength of the entire political system and all classes of people, creating strong changes in urban environment improvement, traffic expansion, construction of works serving the community and promoting the emulation movement to implement urban criteria. Right in the first week of launching (from November 17 to 24, 2025), the working groups went directly to each neighborhood, mobilizing people to donate land to widen roads, move fences, and dismantle architectural works to serve the common goal. Thanks to extensive and correct propaganda, the campaign received a great response from the people. Up to now, the people of the whole ward have donated a total of more than 3,247 square meters of land, creating important conditions for the ward to renovate and expand roads according to the plan.

Comrade Duong Van Hao, Secretary of the Party Committee of Lien Hoa Ward, said: The people's voluntary donation of land and demolition of constructions to open roads is a vivid demonstration of the sense of responsibility for the community, and at the same time demonstrates solidarity and high consensus in local construction. This is an outstanding result, creating more motivation for the ward to continue to effectively implement tasks in the coming time. Along with the land donation movement, many urban beautification movements have also been promoted such as general environmental sanitation, dredging sewers, planting trees, planting flowers along roadsides, renovating community living spaces, building bright - green - clean - beautiful roads. Agencies, units, businesses and schools in the area have actively responded with practical tasks such as cleaning the campus, planting trees, propagating cadres, students and parents to join hands to preserve the urban landscape.

During the campaign implementation, the ward paid special attention to regular monitoring and inspection; ensuring that all activities were carried out in accordance with regulations, openly, transparently and with the participation of the people themselves. Thanks to that, the upgrading of infrastructure, traffic expansion, and urban beautification took place smoothly, creating high consensus among the people.
