Long Xuyen Ward Meeting to celebrate National Security Day

On the afternoon of August 6, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Xuyen Ward held a meeting to celebrate the National Day for National Security Protection in 2025.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the significance of the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025). Vice Chairman of Long Xuyen Ward People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Quang emphasized: "In recent years, with the regular attention and direction of the Party Committee and the government, the close coordination of local departments, branches and organizations, the National movement for National Security Protection in Long Xuyen Ward has become a widespread self-management movement, supported by a large number of cadres, workers, civil servants and the masses; actively contributing to the detection, prevention and fight against all types of crimes and social evils...".

He requested that departments, organizations, ward police and leaders of hamlets and forces participating in protecting security and order continue to promote their pioneering role, grasp the situation, receive reports from the people, be a bridge between the people and the police force; be the core force in building self-management models for protecting security and order in the ward...

Long Xuyen Ward is managing 12 crime prevention and control models, such as: Honda Motorcycle Club leading in crime prevention and control; Ward self-management in traffic safety; "3 good, 2 strong in security and order"; Crime prevention and control porter union; Security surveillance cameras; "2 Safe"; Medical support and emergency vehicles for traffic accident victims; Inter-family fire prevention and fighting team...

The models have been effective, contributing to curbing the increase in crime, maintaining security, order and social safety in the area.

Awarding certificates to groups and individuals

On this occasion, 8 collectives and 15 individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement of All People Protecting National Security in 2025 were commended and rewarded by the People's Committee of Long Xuyen ward.

Giving gifts to poor households in the area

The Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward presented 48 gifts to households in difficult circumstances in the ward, each gift worth 300,000 VND in cash, supported by Long Xuyen Ward Police.
