In the second semi-final round of the Sing! Asia 2025 - The Voice of Asia contest , Phuong My Chi made an impression when she chose to perform the song Vu co anh, a new arrangement that is deeply Vietnamese but still has an international spirit.
Thanks to this performance, the female singer won against the Chinese representative and officially entered the top 4 contestants entering the final night, taking place on July 25.

In the second semi-final night, Phuong My Chi competed with 7 other contestants from Asian countries such as China, Thailand, Japan and Malaysia. Accordingly, each contestant will perform in turn and may be challenged by other contestants. In case there are 2 or more challengers, the performer has the right to choose the opponent.
Phuong My Chi chose to compete with the singer from China - Ai Tan Giac La Mi. With a youthful style, she appeared on stage in a modern pink outfit, carrying a woven bamboo basket evoking the image of Tam, a symbol of Vietnamese culture.

The song " Vu tru co anh" has been remixed with many significant changes. The opening part has a typical ca tru sound, the middle part has a rap part composed by rapper Phao, the entire mix is adjusted by DTAP to blend with the symphony orchestra.
The artistic concept of the performance was inspired by the images of Tam and Cinderella, depicting the journey of a woman overcoming her limits, towards a better version of herself. Ca Tru, EDM and symphony were skillfully combined, creating a new musical experience while still maintaining the strong Vietnamese spirit.

In the scoring section, Phuong My Chi received 2/3 votes from the panel of judges including Truong Luong Dinh and To Huu Bang. Judge Lee Seung Hyun chose his opponent Ai Tan Giac La Mi.
From the online judging system, Phuong My Chi continued to win overwhelmingly with 15 votes, while her Chinese opponent only had 6 votes. In the end, the Vietnamese representative won with a score of 17-7.
Sharing about the performance, Phuong My Chi said: "This time I chose Ca Tru, a very unique feature of Vietnamese culture, to tell the story in a more youthful and intimate way. I hope Vietnamese music can fly far in a natural, lively and proud way."
