Phu Yen Ward calls on the community to join hands for gender equality in the digital age

Attending the launching ceremony were Vice Chairman of Phu Yen Ward People's Committee Nguyen Ho Bao Khoi and leaders of units, organizations, neighborhoods and cadres and women's union members in the ward.

With the theme “Gender equality and safety for women and girls in the digital age”, this year’s Action Month for Gender Equality and Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence aims to raise public awareness on promoting gender equality; while emphasizing the role of family and society in building a safe environment and preventing acts of gender-based violence.

Thereby, it aims to raise awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, localities and the whole society in implementing the goal of gender equality, for the safety and happiness of women and girls in the digital age.

At the launching ceremony, the leaders of Phu Yen ward called on cadres, union members, association members and people to actively respond with specific actions such as: strengthening legal propaganda; educating knowledge, safety skills, protection skills, preventing violence and abuse for women and children; guiding safety solutions in digital space; building models to support people suffering from domestic violence; creating conditions for everyone to access social security services equally.

The People's Committee of Phu Yen Ward assigned units, organizations and neighborhoods to proactively carry out communication activities, seminars and thematic activities. These activities aim to spread the message of "Equality - Safety - Respect", contributing to building an equal, progressive and happy environment for women and children.

The locality also called on the community to strongly oppose all acts of violence and gender discrimination; at the same time, proactively apply digital technology to spread the message of protecting women and children on cyberspace...

These efforts aim to build a civilized, safe and happy Phu Yen ward - where everyone is respected and enjoys gender equality in a real and sustainable way.
