Phuoc Tan Ward: Bringing the Spring Flower Festival to the Resettlement Area

(Dong Nai) - On the evening of February 7th, at the Phuoc Tan Ward residential and resettlement area (Dong Nai province), the Ward's Trade Union organized the opening ceremony of the spring flower festival and a cultural performance night titled "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" for the Year of the Horse 2026, attracting a large number of union members, workers, and residents in the area.

At the program, Mr. Pham Van Chien, a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Union, stated: During this year's Lunar New Year, the Provincial Labor Union distributed 80,000 gifts to union members and workers, and provided 3,000 bus tickets to help workers return home for family reunions, with a total budget of approximately 100 billion VND. In addition, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also provided an additional 450 train tickets, 130 plane tickets, and 15,000 shopping vouchers for union members participating in the online "Trade Union Tet Market" program.

Specifically, the Phuoc Tan Ward Trade Union received support in the form of 378 gift packages and 200 shopping vouchers, totaling over 500 million VND. According to a representative of the Provincial Labor Federation, these Tet welfare activities, combined with cultural and artistic exchanges, have profound humanitarian significance, contributing to motivating union members and workers to celebrate a warm, joyful, and happy Tet.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Truong Van Thanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phuoc Tan Ward, assessed that this is a practical activity, demonstrating the concern of the Party Committee, the government, and mass organizations for the material and spiritual lives of workers, especially those in difficult circumstances. Organizing the program right in the residential and resettlement area, where the social housing project has just become operational, shows the care and support of the locality for the residents, creating a more cohesive atmosphere and motivation for workers to live and work with peace of mind.
