Sa Dec Ward is seriously implementing the 2026 General Economic Census.

(DTO) On January 12th, Working Group No. 5 of the Central Steering Committee, led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Duong, Deputy Director of the Statistics Department, held a working session in Sa Dec ward regarding the 2026 Economic Census. The delegation was received by leaders of the Provincial Statistics Department and the People's Committee of Sa Dec ward.

Mr. Huynh Anh Dien, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Sa Dec Ward, reported to the working group on the progress of the 2026 Economic Census in the area.

According to the report, Sa Dec ward currently has 58 survey areas with over 9,200 individual production and business establishments. To implement the task, the locality has established a Steering Committee for the General Economic Census, selecting 57 enumerators who are local residents, familiar with the area, and skilled in approaching households. Training on the use of electronic questionnaires and public awareness campaigns to build consensus among the people have also been implemented simultaneously.

The collection of information directly at the establishments took place from January 7, 2025 to February 15, 2026. As of January 11, 2026, the ward had completed the survey of 260 establishments, reaching 2.96% of the listed establishments.

During the meeting, the local authorities also raised several practical difficulties: Many owners of individual production and business establishments, as well as religious and belief organizations, are still hesitant and unwilling to provide financial information, or provide inaccurate information due to concerns about confidentiality and tax obligations. Furthermore, in the initial phase, the Personal Information Collection (CAPI) software is still being updated, sometimes affecting the progress of the investigators.

The Central Monitoring Team acknowledged and highly appreciated the proactive and serious approach of the Steering Committee for the General Economic Census in Sa Dec ward in preparing and implementing the census. To ensure the quality of the 2026 census, the Team requested the locality to continue adhering to the proposed plan, intensify propaganda to raise awareness and responsibility among production and business establishments. At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen inspection and supervision to promptly address difficulties, ensuring that the information collection process follows the correct procedures and schedule, maintains data security, and achieves the highest accuracy.
