Under the close leadership and guidance of the Party Committee and the government, the entire political system from the ward level to the neighborhood groups has participated synchronously. Working groups led by ward leaders have visited and encouraged Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, families of those who rendered meritorious services to the revolution, and relatives of martyrs, deeply demonstrating the principle of "drinking water, remembering the source." These heartfelt visits and gifts given in the final days of the year not only have material value but also serve as a great source of spiritual encouragement, warming the hearts of these families as Tet (Lunar New Year) approaches.
The Thai Binh ward continues to pay special attention to caring for poor and near-poor households and those in difficult circumstances. Based on a thorough review of each case, the ward organized the distribution of Tet gifts to all poor households in the area, helping families prepare for Tet. All 244 poor households received Tet gifts worth 800,000 VND each, totaling nearly 200 million VND, funded by the provincial budget. For near-poor households, those facing sudden difficulties, and orphaned children receiving subsidies, the ward People's Committee proactively mobilized social resources from the joint efforts and support of 9 businesses, providing 744 Tet gifts worth nearly 900 million VND. These Tet gifts were carefully prepared and delivered to the right people and recipients, ensuring that all families had better conditions to celebrate Tet. Comrade Do Trong Chinh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh Ward, affirmed: With the goal of ensuring that all citizens can celebrate Tet in a warm and peaceful atmosphere, the People's Committee of the ward has directed early implementation, carefully reviewing each individual, ensuring that care is provided fully and promptly. The joint efforts of the government, the Fatherland Front, mass organizations, and the community are crucial factors in making Tet more complete and meaningful.
One of the highlights of this year's "Tet for the Poor" campaign in Thai Binh ward is the provision of housing support for households facing extreme difficulties. These new homes not only provide residents with safe and sturdy shelter but also carry significant spiritual meaning, especially when completed just in time for Tet. This joy is evident on the face of Mrs. Bui Thi Mo, from Dong Thanh residential group, as her new house is nearing completion in time for the Lunar New Year. As a near-poor household, living alone, and suffering from illness, Mrs. Mo had to live in a cramped, dilapidated house for many years. Thanks to the attention of the Party, the State, the local government, and the support of organizations, families, and relatives, Mrs. Bui Thi Mo's dream of a sturdy home has now become a reality. Her enclosed house, measuring 32 square meters , is being completed with a total construction cost of 200 million VND, of which the Hung Yen Provincial Branch of the Social Policy Bank contributed 100 million VND, and the rest was provided by her family and relatives. Mrs. Bui Thi Mo shared: “I never thought I would one day live in such a spacious house. Before, I was always worried about the rain and wind, and Tet (Lunar New Year) was sad because the house was dilapidated. Thanks to the attention of the State, the ward, and everyone, this Tet I have a new house to live in, and I feel much warmer and more secure.” Along with Mrs. Mo's joy, the family of Mr. Pham Huu Binh, in Bo Xuyen residential area, also celebrated Tet in a new house of over 40 square meters , with a total cost of 180 million VND. The house is the result of a joint effort between the government, the Fatherland Front, businesses, and family members, clearly demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and mutual support within the community. Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, a near-poor household in Dai Dong residential area, expressed that for many years, the ward has done a very good job of caring for social welfare, especially during Tet (Lunar New Year). The poor and those with difficult circumstances are always cared for, inquired about, and encouraged in a timely manner. This makes us residents very confident and happy.
