Speaking at the Conference, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuong Cat Ward, Van Thuy Hoa, emphasized the special importance of the first consultation conference, guiding the Front members to promote the spirit of solidarity and responsibility to discuss and agree on important criteria for the construction of the expected structure, composition and number of candidates to be nominated as candidates for the People's Council of the ward for the new term.
Based on the plan presented by the Standing Committee of the Ward People's Council, the delegates focused on heated discussions and reached a consensus on the number of Ward People's Council delegates being 16 people in accordance with regulations. The planned number, structure, and composition of 35 people is appropriate. Of which, 10 people are from political organizations; 10 people are from ward-level State agencies; 5 people are from the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; 4 people are from armed forces; 3 people are from economic organizations; 1 person is from social organizations (religious); and 2 people are from residential groups.

In particular, the conference highly agreed on the number of delegates ensuring the structural requirements according to Resolution 107 such as the proportion of women reaching a minimum of 35%; young delegates not less than 15%; the proportion of non-Party members not less than 10% in the official list of candidates; re-election over 30%.
The ward leaders assigned the Standing Committee of the Ward Fatherland Front Committee, immediately after receiving the notice of adjustment of the structure, composition and number of candidates for the Ward People's Council, term 2026 - 2031, to agree with the Standing Committee of the Ward People's Council to allocate the number and composition of candidates for the People's Council to agencies, organizations and units; coordinate in organizing instructions on the process of introducing candidates, organizing to collect opinions from voters at the workplace, and preparing procedures and documents according to regulations.
The first consultation conference was a great success. This is a solid foundation for the next consultation steps to take place in accordance with the law, ensuring the selection of worthy delegates with enough heart, talent and vision to represent the voice and legitimate aspirations of the people of Thuong Cat ward in the 2026 - 2031 term.
