In his opening remarks, Do Trong Nam, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Ward, shared that in recent times, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Ward has always focused on implementing comprehensive social welfare solutions. Through emulation movements and the "For the Poor" campaign, the ward has effectively mobilized many social resources. These practical activities not only care for the lives of the people but also firmly strengthen the people's trust in the Party and local government.
“The ‘Spring of Solidarity - Tet of Reunion’ program is one of the activities with profound humanitarian significance, clearly demonstrating the core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in gathering and mobilizing the people and harnessing the strength of the entire political system, the business community, and all strata of society to jointly care for the poor and those in difficult circumstances every time Tet and Spring arrive,” Comrade Do Trong Nam emphasized.

At the event, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) donated 500 million VND to the "For the Poor" Fund of the ward. In particular, the organizers presented a "Solidarity House" to the family of Mr. Thai Van Hung (residing on Ton Duc Thang Street), helping the family have a stable and safe place to live before the New Year.
The program also presented 133 Tet gifts, including: 16 near-poor households, each receiving 3 million VND in cash and essential goods; and 115 disadvantaged families, each receiving 1 million VND in cash and gifts...

Within the framework of the program, the Ward Youth Union organized "Warm Spring - Sharing the Tết Holiday," with many meaningful activities. Notably, the Ward Youth Union, in coordination with the Steering Committee of the "For the Poor" Fund, presented motorbikes to young people of working age with particularly difficult circumstances, giving them more confidence and motivation to strive in labor, production, and stabilize their lives.
According to Tran Hoang Anh, Secretary of the Youth Union of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Ward, the "Warm Spring - Sharing Tet" program is a practical action demonstrating the responsibility of the youth of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam to the community. Through directly preparing gifts and Tet sticky rice cakes, the ward's youth union members have highly promoted the pioneering spirit, volunteerism, and responsibility of the Youth Union in social welfare work. This is also a meaningful source of encouragement, contributing to bringing a warm and fulfilling spring to those in difficult circumstances in the area.

The Youth Union of the ward presented 40 Tet gifts, each worth 500,000 VND in cash and gifts, to underprivileged children and teenagers who have excelled in their studies in the ward.
