Accordingly, a Porsche Carrera GT supercar with German license plates carrying two Singaporean citizens suddenly lost control while traveling on a mountain pass in the Strobl area (Austria). The car veered off the road, fell down a slope in a dense forest area and got stuck among the trees.

Local firefighters and rescuers quickly arrived and successfully rescued the two people in the car, who suffered minor injuries. However, accessing and returning the supercar to the road was difficult due to the dense forest and complex terrain.
To remove the car from the scene without further damaging its special carbon monocoque structure, rescuers had to cut down many large trees around the scene and use a specialized crane system.

The entire rescue process of the Carrera GT lasted more than 3 hours and 30 minutes, and was described as “extremely sophisticated and technically demanding” in order to preserve the integrity of the car’s body, which cannot be repaired like a normal metal car body.
Although there were no casualties, the property damage was huge. According to classic car restoration experts, repairing the broken carbon body is almost impossible, meaning the owner will have to replace the entire body and chassis, at a cost that could reach over a million USD depending on the condition of the car.

The Porsche Carrera GT was developed from a concept car that was shown at the 2000 Paris Motor Show and was the iconic “halo car” of the Porsche brand. Although Porsche planned to produce 1,500 units, only 1,270 were completed before production was discontinued in 2006 due to changes in airbag regulations in the US.

The car that crashed in Austria had a Fayence Yellow exterior, one of the rarest paint colors of the Carrera GT line with only 89 cars ever painted in this color leaving the factory.
The car is equipped with a 5.7L naturally aspirated V10 engine, producing 612 horsepower and 590 Nm of torque, with a 6-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive.
