This series of seminars is organized by Times Science and Education Publishing Joint Stock Company (TIMES), in collaboration with the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Corporation, the Vietnam Nuclear Energy Experts Network Abroad (VietNuc), Pacific University, and Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, with media sponsorship from the French Institute in Vietnam.
Participating in the event as a co-organizer, PTSC not only provided resources but also contributed in-depth professional perspectives.
Regarding large-scale energy project management, operational techniques, and risk management, this is a concrete step in PTSC's commitment to proactively seeking new knowledge and connecting the expert-business community.
Seminar in Nha Trang (January 21, 2026): "Environmental Impact of the Ninh Thuan Coastal Nuclear Power Plant: Reality and Solutions"
The seminar held on the morning of January 21, 2026, at Pacific University (Nha Trang) focused on a comprehensive analysis of environmental aspects when implementing coastal nuclear power plants, using the Ninh Thuan project as a case study. The event brought together energy research experts, managers, lecturers, and students; including Dr. Pham Tuan Hiep (EDF, Secretary General of VietNuc), Dr. Le Anh Van (Vice Rector of Pacific University), and Mr. Tran Si Chuong (economic expert, former electrical engineer).

(Dr. Pham Tuan Hiep, Expert from the French Electricity Group (EDF), General Secretary of VietNuc, shared this at the seminar)
The discussions focused on the project's implementation roadmap, from technology and fuel selection, plant design, radiation safety requirements, radioactive waste management, and marine environmental monitoring. Experts emphasized that environmental impact assessments need to go beyond purely technical analysis to encompass both ecosystems and community livelihoods. The seminar also discussed monitoring measures, impact mitigation, and mechanisms for transparent community engagement to ensure development decisions are based on scientific data.
Seminar in Hanoi (January 22, 2026): "Nuclear Energy: International Experiences and Practical Lessons for Vietnam"
Following that, the seminar on the afternoon of January 22, 2026, at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering focused on synthesizing international experience in nuclear power development and drawing lessons suitable for Vietnam's conditions. The program included introductions, thematic presentations, and a dialogue session; key topics included technical safety, institutional framework, independent monitoring mechanisms, and the development of specialized human resources. The main speakers included Dr. Pham Tuan Hiep (EDF, VietNuc), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vuong Huu Tan (former Director of VINATOM), and Mr. Tran Si Chuong.

Spreading knowledge and shaping the future.
Within the framework of the event, the Organizing Committee also introduced the publication "Nuclear Energy – Why?" (author Bertrand Barré) in Vietnamese translation by Dr. Pham Tuan Hiep and Mr. Bui Nguyen Hoang. This is a valuable reference document that helps systematize knowledge about the history, principles, and economic and technical issues of the industry. PTSC encourages its staff to refer to this resource to enhance their professional capacity.
Through its participation in this series of seminars, PTSC continues to affirm its pioneering role in updating global energy trends. The knowledge and recommendations from experts will be compiled and shared internally by PTSC, serving as a basis for consultation in subsequent professional activities, training, research, and implementation.
