At the competition, the contestants took the theoretical and practical flight test in the cockpit. The theoretical test focused on testing the pilots' knowledge of the features, techniques, and uses of the synchronized equipment systems installed in the Su-22 cockpit; safety measures and regulations on management and operation of the cockpit.

In the practical part, each pilot will practice flying twice in the cockpit. The contents include: complex maneuvers in the air, combined with complex or simple maneuvers on the ground; long-distance flights on time combined with landing through clouds; practice handling unexpected situations while flying.

Awarding prizes to groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in sports.

During the 2 days of November 13 and 14, the competition completed the proposed content and plan, ensuring absolute safety in all aspects. According to the assessment of the Organizing Committee, the units did a good job of preparing, planning, organizing strict training, closely following the purpose, requirements and instructions. The pilots participating in the competition strictly followed the regulations, orders, rules, discipline and rules of the competition; had a firm grasp of theory and solid practice.

In his closing speech, Major General Nguyen Phung Tuan praised the efforts of the Organizing Committee, the Jury and the results achieved by the Su-22 pilots in the competition. At the same time, he requested that in the coming time, from the results of the competition, the units continue to draw lessons strictly and seriously, continue to maintain and continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of flight training in general, and flight training in the training room in particular for the pilot force, as a basis to improve the quality of flight training, ensure flight safety, and meet the requirements of combat readiness tasks in the new situation.

At the end of the sports festival, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to Regiment 929, Division 372; awarded 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 2 third prizes to pilots who completed the sports festival tasks well.
