The conference was held in person at the Military Region 1 headquarters and online at four other locations under the Military Region 1 Command. Lieutenant General Truong Manh Dung, Commander of Military Region 1, chaired the conference.

In 2025, Military Region 1 seriously and comprehensively implemented the directives of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense ; closely coordinated with local Party committees, authorities, and units of the Ministry stationed in the area; led and directed the armed forces under its command to successfully complete the local defense and military objectives and tasks, with some tasks being completed exceptionally well.

Notably, the unit maintained strict combat readiness, closely monitored the situation, firmly protected border sovereignty, and ensured political security and social order in the area; carried out timely and effective civil defense work; participated in parades and marches during the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification, and the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, successfully completing its tasks; and successfully organized the 16th Party Congress of the Military Region, term 2025-2030, and the 80th anniversary of the Military Region's armed forces, receiving the Ho Chi Minh Order.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Lieutenant General Truong Manh Dung acknowledged and commended the achievements of the agencies and units in 2025; and requested that in the coming period, the armed forces of Military Region 1 continue to thoroughly understand and seriously implement the resolutions and directives of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Military Region on local defense work, national defense and security education in 2026; constantly monitor the situation, strictly maintain the combat readiness duty regime, civil defense, ensure smooth communication, and closely coordinate with other forces...
