On November 29, Military Region 5 held a conference to deploy a plan to support forces in rebuilding houses for people whose houses collapsed after rain and floods in the Military Region.
According to the plan, the Military Region will set up working teams to go to localities damaged by storms and floods, coordinate with Party committees and authorities to conduct surveys of each household, make a list of houses to repair and rebuild. The ultimate goal is to ensure that all people whose houses have collapsed or been severely damaged will soon have stable housing before the Lunar New Year 2026.
Lieutenant General Le Ngoc Hai, Commander of Military Region 5, requested units to uphold their sense of responsibility, proactively mobilize forces and means, and organize to carry out tasks with the highest determination. "Supporting people to rebuild their houses is not only an urgent task after natural disasters but also demonstrates the affection and responsibility of officers and soldiers of Military Region 5's armed forces towards the people," the Commander of the Military Region emphasized.
Lieutenant General Le Ngoc Hai requested agencies and units to carefully review the needs of each family, proactively advise on appropriate support plans; organize construction forces scientifically and closely; absolutely not let any people whose houses have collapsed have to celebrate Tet in deprived conditions. At the same time, do a good job of mass mobilization, actively propagate and encourage people to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.

The recent historic floods in the South Central region have caused very heavy losses in terms of lives, houses, and properties, greatly affecting the lives of people and the State's infrastructure, especially in the provinces of Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai and Lam Dong. After the floods, thousands of houses were severely damaged, hundreds of households lost their homes due to collapse, collapse, and drifting, requiring a lot of resources to repair and rebuild, many schools, medical stations, and hospitals have not been able to resume operations.
On November 27, 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh issued Official Dispatch No. 232/CD-TTg requesting relevant ministries, branches and localities to urgently compile statistics, review and synthesize reports on damage to people's housing caused by floods in the South Central region.
To quickly repair and rebuild houses for households whose houses are severely damaged, collapsed, or washed away, and ensure stable housing for people before the Lunar New Year 2026, the Prime Minister requested the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the provinces of Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, and Lam Dong to direct competent agencies and local authorities to urgently review, count, and summarize the number of households whose houses have collapsed, collapsed, or washed away and need to be rebuilt.
