Accordingly, the 2026 college admissions and career guidance program in Hue City, organized by Tuoi Tre newspaper in coordination with the Department of Higher Education ( Ministry of Education and Training ), the Hue City Department of Education and Training, Hue University, and the Hue City Youth Union, took place enthusiastically at the Hue City Youth Activities Center.

The program attracted a large number of high school students in Hue City to receive direct advice from education experts and university representatives, as well as to have their concerns about the high school graduation exam and university admission methods answered in the context of many changes.

Here, Vo Quang Phu Duc - the champion of the 2024 Road to Olympia competition - shared many stories about his studies, personal experiences, and lessons learned during his journey to conquer Olympia and prepare for his future academic path.

According to Phu Duc, the college admissions and career guidance programs organized annually by Tuoi Tre newspaper and related units are of great significance to students, especially in the current period when university admissions methods are constantly being adjusted, while information on social media and the Internet is increasingly abundant and easily misleading.

“In the digital age and with the information explosion, it’s crucial for students to be selective and seek out reputable sources of advice to get the right direction for their future. Career counseling programs are excellent opportunities for students to access accurate information, understand their chosen field of study, and determine the path they will pursue,” Phu Duc shared.

Offering advice to graduating high school students, Phu Duc suggested that before choosing a university, they should spend time thoroughly researching their passions and abilities to determine a suitable field of study. Phu Duc noted that in the context of rapidly developing artificial intelligence (AI) and technology, many professions will undergo profound changes, opening up new avenues but also posing numerous challenges.

"The choice of major today will directly affect your future career path. Therefore, you should consider carefully, don't follow trends, but choose a major you truly love and can commit to for the long term," Phu Duc emphasized.

Sharing his thoughts on the final stretch before the high school graduation exam, the Olympia champion believes that students need to focus intensely but also know how to allocate their study time wisely.

"It's not about studying a lot to be effective. What's important is learning with the right methods, so that you stay alert, interested, and absorb knowledge in the best way possible," Phu Duc said.

For students aiming to study at international universities, Phu Duc particularly emphasizes the importance of foreign languages, especially English. According to Phu Duc, a strong foundation in English is essential to keep up with the curriculum and gain a deep understanding of specialized knowledge.
