The first case was a local female patient who fainted and had stiff limbs. Initial examination revealed that the patient had hypocalcemia. The Vietnamese military medical team coordinated with the South Sudan Red Cross to provide emergency treatment on the spot. After 15 minutes of intensive resuscitation, the patient's condition stabilized and she was urgently transported to Bentiu General Hospital for further monitoring and treatment.

The second case was a local male militiaman who fainted due to heatstroke. The Vietnamese military medical team provided initial first aid. After nearly 20 minutes, the patient's condition improved and he was transferred to Bentiu General Hospital for further monitoring and treatment.
Both emergencies occurred suddenly and in harsh, hot weather conditions, but with professional reflexes and extensive experience in emergency situations, the Vietnamese military medical team immediately activated rapid emergency procedures, implementing resuscitation and life support measures on the spot.
Not stopping there, Vietnamese doctors and nurses stayed with their colleagues at Bentiu General Hospital to monitor and provide continuous professional support until the patient's condition was completely stable and he was fully handed over to the local hospital.

Representatives of the local government, the sub-regional coordination agency, the Red Cross and the Bentiu community expressed their deep gratitude to the Vietnamese military medical team for their sense of responsibility, high professional capacity and meaningful humanitarian action. Notably, the above event took place on the occasion of November 25 - the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, an important holiday celebrated in South Sudan and many countries around the world .
In South Sudan, November 25 also marks the start of the “16 Days of Action Against Gender-Based Violence” program, which runs from November 25 to December 10 – an activity aimed at raising public awareness and protecting the rights and dignity of women and girls.

In addition to participating in providing medical care for UNMISS activities, Field Hospital 2.7 always accompanies CIMIC programs in the area. One of the recent outstanding activities is the CIMIC program on November 18 at Bentiu Girls' Primary School. Here, Field Hospital 2.7 organized many activities for female students - young girls who are trying to overcome their circumstances to realize their dreams, becoming a new generation of women in South Sudan. This activity received the attention and support of teachers, parents and the local community, contributing to building a safer educational environment for girls.
Through its commitments and professional activities, Field Hospital 2.7 is building strong trust in the Bentiu community and the region, in which each Vietnamese military medic present in South Sudan is not only a doctor, but also a bridge spreading peace , humanity and hope.
