Promoting Vietnamese culinary heritage at the 2025 International Culinary Culture Festival

Dishes recognized as national intangible cultural heritage such as Pho, Thanh Tri rice rolls, Quang noodles, etc. will be introduced and performed at the 2025 International Culinary Culture Festival with the theme "Taste journey across five continents".

The 2025 International Culinary Culture Festival will take place on November 22 and 23 at the Diplomatic Corps Area (298 Kim Ma, Hanoi). The event is directed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organized by the Diplomatic Corps Services Department in coordination with the State Protocol Department, the Information and Press Department, the World and Vietnam Newspaper and other agencies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On November 11, the Organizing Committee of the International Culinary Culture Festival announced information about this year's festival. Accordingly, this year's festival attracts more than 120 booths, promising to bring a colorful picture of global culinary quintessence, while affirming the image of Vietnam in the role of "common home" of world culture.

Ms. Hoang Thu Nga - Deputy Head of the Festival Organizing Committee said that this year's event was carefully prepared, with an expanded scale, with nearly 120 food booths from embassies, consulates, foreign cultural centers, local foreign affairs departments and large enterprises.

With the theme “Trip of Flavors – A taste journey across five continents”, the Festival is not only an opportunity to honor and promote the unique values ​​of Vietnamese and world culinary culture, but also an opportunity to promote cultural diplomacy, expand international cooperation and spread the image of a friendly, creative and integrated Vietnam.

“This year’s theme is meant to celebrate cuisine as a journey of emotions and connections, where each dish is not only about taste but also about the culture, history and identity of each country. Through each dish, we not only share taste but also share creativity, mutual understanding and arouse the spirit of cooperation,” Ms. Hoang Thu Nga emphasized.

Also according to Ms. Hoang Thu Nga, different from previous editions, the 2025 International Culinary Culture Festival marks a strong change in the way the event is organized and experienced.

This year, the Festival applied digital technology for the first time with a Digital Interactive Corner, where visitors can look up program information, view event maps, learn about typical dishes of each country, and participate in modern multimedia experiences.

In addition, there are a series of new and creative activities such as: Borderless Cuisine Diary, Fashion Food Show, Global Beer Fest; ASEAN Common Roof areas, Global Cuisine Avenue, Three regions of Vietnam..., bringing a colorful taste journey.

Talking about the difference of this year's Festival, Ms. Le Thi Thiet - President of Ninh Binh Province Culinary Culture Association, member of the Organizing Committee - shared: The Festival will have an area to introduce the quintessence of Vietnamese culture, focusing on introducing the culinary heritage of the whole country.
These are dishes that have been recognized as national intangible cultural heritage such as: pho, Quang noodles, banh xeo, banh mi... Many famous culinary brands and culinary artists will participate in performing and telling stories about Vietnamese cuisine such as artist Pham Thi Anh Tuyet, artist of Van Cu village...

The International Culinary Culture Festival is an annual event to promote cultural and culinary exchanges between Vietnam and international friends. Entering its 13th year, the Festival has attracted a large number of participants, becoming a cultural and diplomatic bridge, connecting culinary cultures through each dish - from traditional flavors to modern creations - affirming the role of cuisine in connecting friendship and international cooperation.
