
Perspective view of the exhibition space "Cultural Heritage of the UNESCO Global Geopark Lang Son "
The exhibition "Cultural Heritage of the UNESCO Global Geopark Lang Son" is an activity to introduce and promote the typical heritage values of the UNESCO Global Geopark Lang Son.
At the same time, it honors unique heritage values, contributes to the preservation of traditional culture, effectively promotes the value of heritage sites and scenic spots; and raises community awareness in the conservation and promotion of heritage associated with sustainable tourism development.
The exhibition space is divided into two parts. Part 1 - Geological Heritage and Biodiversity in the UNESCO Lang Son Global Geopark: introduces maps of tourist routes and destinations; paleontological fossil specimens at some typical heritage sites; images and documents about geological formation processes, unique natural landscapes, natural heritage and diverse ecosystems in the geopark area.
Part 2 - Cultural Heritage of the UNESCO Lang Son Global Geopark: introduces typical images and documents about tangible and intangible cultural heritage such as historical and cultural relics, traditional festivals, Mother Goddess worship, the Then practice of the Tay and Nung people with Then singing, Tinh lute playing, lion dance, and traditional costumes of the ethnic groups living in the area.
The exhibition will take place at the Lang Son Provincial Museum, No. 6 Hung Vuong Street, Luong Van Tri Ward, Lang Son Province.
Lang Son Geopark covers an area of nearly 5,000 km², with more than 100 unique geological, cultural, and archaeological heritage sites.
Beyond its geological value, Lang Son Geopark is also a convergence point of many traditional cultural values, revolutionary history, magnificent natural landscapes, and especially a rich diversity of indigenous culture, unique history, geology, and biodiversity.
With its exceptional international-level geological, cultural, and landscape values, Lang Son Geopark was officially recognized by UNESCO as a UNESCO Global Geopark in April 2025.
