Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism of Zhejiang Province Tran Nhu Phuc spoke at the Program
Speaking at the program, Mr. Tran Nhu Phuc, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism of Zhejiang Province, shared: Zhejiang is known as the land of fragrant rice and sweet fish, the land of delicious silk and tea, the intersection of cultural heritages, and the destination of natural wonders. This place possesses a long history and culture: archaeological discoveries have discovered the life of ancient people on this land from one million years ago; the most brilliant are the Shangshan culture of ten thousand years, the Hemudu culture of seven thousand years, and the Liangzhu culture of five thousand years. Zhejiang also captivates people with its poetic scenery, like a watercolor painting, with three world cultural heritages: West Lake, Jinghang Grand Canal, Liangzhu Ancient City, and the scenic spot Jianglangshan - a world natural heritage. From ancient times to the present, this land has always been the "poetic Jiangnan", "heaven on earth" in the hearts of writers and artists. Zhejiang is also an innovation hub, home to renowned conglomerates like Alibaba, and nurturing emerging technology pioneers like DeepSeek and Unitree Robotics.
He emphasized that the friendship and cooperation between Zhejiang and Vietnam have always been maintained firmly. Since the Tang - Song Dynasty, Viet Dieu celadon pottery, silk brocade and fine tea from Zhejiang followed the maritime silk road to the ancient trading ports of Van Don and Hoi An in Vietnam; conversely, fine rice varieties, spices... from Vietnam also arrived at Ningbo and Wenzhou in Zhejiang. Cultural and economic trade throughout thousands of years is the solid foundation for close cooperation between the two sides today.
