On the afternoon of January 13th, the Nghe An Department of Science and Technology held a meeting to review and approve the scientific project "Supporting the development of dossiers, data management, and digitization of OCOP products in Nghe An province," with the participation of the Department's leaders, members of the review council, representatives of the lead unit, and experts and scientists.
The project, spearheaded by the Nghe An Center for Social Sciences and Humanities, will be implemented over a period of 5 months, from August to December 2025, as part of the National Target Program for New Rural Development. Building on the results of the previous phase, this project focuses on expanding the scale and improving the quality of OCOP product digitization, gradually forming a centralized and modern OCOP data management model.
The report presented at the acceptance meeting indicated that the focus of the project was the application of 3D/360 virtual space technology to build digital profiles, display, and introduce OCOP products in a visual, lively, and easily accessible way for consumers. Accordingly, the implementing unit conducted field surveys, selected, and digitized 57 OCOP products and product groups that achieved 4-star and 5-star ratings in the province.

The digitized products belong to various product categories such as food, handicrafts, medicinal herbs and products derived from medicinal herbs, thereby clearly reflecting the strengths, identity, and potential of Nghe An's OCOP program. All products have complete data profiles, integrating images, videos , legal information, explanatory content, and related data using 3D/360 technology.
A key highlight of the project is the development and operation of a data management model for OCOP products based on a smart 3D/360 interactive software platform. The system allows for centralized management, data synchronization, and multi-platform access via computers, mobile devices, and popular web browsers. The digital display space is designed to be user-friendly, allowing users to "visit" OCOP products with a nearly realistic experience.
Notably, the OCOP Nghe An digital platform also integrates a multilingual AI virtual assistant. This virtual assistant can provide automatic explanations, assist with information searches, offer product advice, and control 3D/360-degree spaces using voice or text, thereby expanding access to domestic and international customers, especially for promotional activities, trade, and tourism.
According to the assessment of the Acceptance Council, the application of 3D/360 technology in the management and promotion of OCOP products is a suitable direction in line with the current trend of digital transformation. This model not only provides management agencies with more visual tools to monitor, supervise, and update data, but also effectively supports OCOP entities in product promotion activities, while helping consumers access more complete, transparent, and vivid information.
Opinions at the meeting also noted that the task has contributed to overcoming limitations in the management and promotion of OCOP products, where information was fragmented and traditional methods of introduction did not meet the requirements of the digital market. The development of a centralized database and a digitized display space is considered a crucial foundation for connecting OCOP with e-commerce, rural tourism, and promoting local culture.
The acceptance council recommended that in the future, the OCOP database should be maintained, updated, and expanded; interconnectedness with the digital platforms of departments, sectors, and localities should be strengthened; and attention should be paid to guiding and training OCOP entities to proactively exploit and effectively utilize the digital system.
Concluding the meeting, the Acceptance Council assessed the task as satisfactory and eligible for acceptance. They also requested the implementation team to incorporate the feedback received, refine the content, and expedite its widespread implementation and application, contributing to improved management and promotion of OCOP products in Nghe An in the coming period.
