The working delegation was led by Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu, with the participation of of 12 tourism agencies and units nationwide, including the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh, Vietnam Airlines Corporation and 11 tourism businesses.
Speaking at the program, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu said that tourism is one of the most deeply connected fields, because each trip not only has the meaning of discovery but also serves as a bridge of friendship, helping people of the two countries understand and get closer to each other.

The potential for cooperation is huge.
In 2024, Vietnam welcomed 490,880 Australian visitors, an increase of 26% compared to last year. In the first 10 months of 2025, Vietnam welcomed 447,470 Australian visitors, an increase of more than 13% compared to the same period in 2024.
Australia is among the top 10 markets sending the largest number of tourists to Vietnam. The positive growth in the number of visitors has affirmed the growing attraction of Vietnam, at the same time opening up huge potential for cooperation between the two sides in the tourism sector.
Deputy Director Ha Van Sieu emphasized that Vietnam is known as a leading tourist destination in Southeast Asia, a place of endless beauty and rich cultural identity.
Vietnamese cuisine is also an attractive highlight when Vietnam is considered as the kitchen of the world. With diversity, balance and rich flavor, Vietnamese cuisine both retains its traditional identity and is suitable for many tastes, including Australian diners.
Today's event is not only an opportunity to promote the image of Vietnamese tourism, but also an important opportunity to strengthen cooperation between tourism businesses of the two countries.
“With the attention of the two governments, the support of the Vietnamese representative agency in Australia and the Australian Embassy in Vietnam, the support of management agencies, and the efforts to connect businesses from the business community, tourism will become one of the most prominent areas of cooperation in the Vietnam-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in the coming time,” said Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu.

The event aims to promote Vietnam's unique tourism destinations, products and services to travel partners, media and Australian tourists, thereby consolidating and enhancing the presence of Vietnam Tourism, creating a forum for businesses to connect and do business, promoting the exchange of visitors between the two countries, expanding the market and enhancing tourism cooperation with the Australian market.
This is an activity under the 2025 Tourism Development Stimulus Program of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, implementing the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 34/CD-TTg, contributing to the goal of welcoming 22 million international visitors, implementing the Government's direction in Resolution No. 226/NQ-CP dated August 5, 2025 on growth targets for sectors, fields, localities and key tasks and solutions to ensure the country's growth in 2025 reaches 8.3-8.5%.

Promotional activities in the two cities above will contribute to effectively utilizing direct flights, expanding the passenger market, diversifying the market, and increasing the presence of Vietnamese destinations in the Australian market.
In the context of the tourism industry needing to accelerate and strengthen the international market, promoting Vietnamese tourism in the Australian market is an urgent and strategic requirement.
The organization Program to introduce Vietnam tourism, connect businesses in the Australian market to enhance the presence of Vietnamese tourism brands in this key market, expand the network of partners, promote two-way exchange of visitors and move towards sustainable tourism development.
With a leading role, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism affirms its determination to orient strategies, organize and implement promotional activities, and build the national tourism brand in the Australian market, contributing to promoting investment and trade cooperation, creating a driving force for sustainable development of Vietnamese tourism in the coming period.
