CAHN Club has a clear path to the semi-finals.
After defeating Tampines Rovers (Singapore) 4-0 in the first leg of the round of 16 on February 11th, CAHN FC has almost secured a place in the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League 2025-2026, even though they still have the second leg on February 18th in Singapore.

The fact that CAHN FC has almost secured a place in the quarter-finals opens up a wide path for Quang Hai and his teammates to create a miracle in this season's Asian Cup. If they reach the quarter-finals, CAHN FC will face the winner of the match between Bangkok United of Thailand and Macarthur FC of Australia (Bangkok United is leading 2-0 after the first leg of the round of 16). These are both opponents that are within CAHN FC's reach.
It wasn't until the semi-finals that the team led by coach Mano Polking faced a real challenge. In this bracket, two top Asian teams, Pohang Steelers (South Korea) and Gamba Osaka (Japan), were present. Coach Mano Polking always wants his team to go as far as possible, even aiming for the championship trophy. Historically, the furthest Vietnamese football teams to advance in the AFC Cup Winners' Cup were Binh Duong (now Becamex Ho Chi Minh City FC), reaching the semi-finals in 2009. Following that, Hanoi FC reached the Eastern regional final (equivalent to the semi-finals of the entire tournament) in 2019. If CAHN FC reaches the semi-finals of this year's AFC Cup Winners' Cup, they will equal the record of Becamex Ho Chi Minh City FC and Hanoi FC.
If they reach the final, Quang Hai, Dinh Bac, and their teammates will set a new record for Vietnamese football in this competition.
