CAHN Club is determined to overcome difficulties.
Speaking at the press conference before the second leg, Quang Hai emphasized: “All the players of CAHN Club will go onto the field with the highest determination. We will show the character and spirit of Vietnamese players and the Vietnamese people.”
This statement was made in a special context, as CAHN Club had just been handed a 0-3 defeat by the AFC in the first leg, instead of their previous 4-0 victory.
According to the AFC's ruling announced on February 17th, CAHN Club was handed a 0-3 defeat for fielding two ineligible players, Stefan Mauk and Rogerio Alves. This penalty puts the Vietnamese representative at a significant disadvantage ahead of the second leg and has also attracted considerable attention in the region.
Breaking News: CAHN Club forfeited their AFC Champions League 2 match for using an ineligible player.
However, instead of getting caught up in regrets or pressure, the coaching staff and players of CAHN Club quickly shifted their focus to the upcoming match. Quang Hai's statement was seen as a strong message to the fans: CAHN Club is not looking for excuses, but choosing to face the challenge head-on.

The second leg will take place at 7:15 PM on February 18th at Jalan Besar Stadium (Singapore). To advance, CAHN FC must win by at least four goals, or win by three goals to take the match into extra time. This is an extremely difficult task, but entirely within CAHN FC's capabilities, given their dominant performance against Tampines Rovers in the first leg, which took place at Hang Day Stadium.
Previously, when news broke that the AFC would sanction CAHN Club, coach Alexandre Polking also affirmed to Thanh Nien Newspaper : "CAHN Club will strive to the very end and must defeat the opponent once again."
Notably, in this match, both Mauk and Alves had served their suspensions and were eligible to play, giving CAHN Club its strongest squad.
CAHN FC was handed a 0-3 defeat in the first leg against Tampines Rovers and fined $2,000 for using two players illegally. In addition, their $80,000 bonus was reduced to $40,000. Therefore, the total loss for the V-League representative is $42,000, or over 1 billion VND.
