Quang Nam: Meeting and honoring artisans of craft villages

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tiep - Chairman of Quang Nam Handicraft Association, Quang Nam province is proud to be a land rich in traditional occupations, especially in the field of small-scale industry and handicrafts. The province currently ranks fourth in the country in the number of artisans awarded noble titles such as People's Artisan and Meritorious Artisan.

In particular, Hoi An City is honored to be a member of the UNESCO Global Creative Cities Network in the field of crafts and folk arts, thereby affirming the strong and sustainable development of handicrafts in Quang Nam.

Honoring the founder of the profession and commemorating ancestors is a cultural beauty that reflects the tradition of “remembering the source of water when drinking water” and “remembering the person who planted the tree when eating fruit” for previous generations,” said Mr. Tiep.

At the event, the organizers awarded the title of Vietnamese Craft Village Culinary Arts and Culture Artisan to two culinary chefs who were awarded the title in 2025; and also presented longevity flowers to honor senior artisans in the province.
