
The Dak Long Border Guard Station, in coordination with the Operations Department of the Ro Long Border Guard Station, the Central Region Anti-Drug and Crime Task Force (Anti-Drug and Crime Department - Border Guard Command), and the police of Dak Long and Dak Mon communes, deployed patrol forces in the Lanh Ton hamlet area, Dak Mon commune, Quang Ngai province.
At approximately 4 PM yesterday, January 20th, a task force spotted a young man riding a motorcycle exhibiting suspicious behavior and stopped him for inspection. During the inspection, authorities discovered several plastic bags containing pink and blue tablets, suspected to be synthetic drugs, hidden in the motorcycle's storage compartment and in his jacket. Initial counting determined the seized evidence to be 12,087 tablets (suspected to be synthetic drugs in the form of pink pills), divided into 60 plastic bags.
The arrested man was identified as Nhut Xay Nha Lan (28 years old, Lao nationality), residing in Xan Xay district, Attapeu province, Lao People's Democratic Republic. At the authorities' office, he confessed that he was hired by an unidentified man to transport the drugs from the border area deep into Vietnam to deliver them to another person, for a fee of 20 million dong.
Authorities have apprehended the perpetrator in the act of committing the crime and brought the suspect, along with all the evidence and vehicles, to the Dak Long Border Guard Station for further investigation and processing in accordance with the law.
