The Resolution of the 1st Quang Ngai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, has identified five key tasks; including promoting tourism development, building Ly Son into a sea-island tourism center and Mang Den Tourist Area into an eco-tourism and resort center. Linking eco-tourism and sea-island tourism is expected to make the province's tourism a spearhead economic sector in the new period.

In recent years, Mang Den commune has invested in synchronous tourism infrastructure, quality-assured accommodation and tourism services. Up to now, the commune has 143 accommodation establishments with 1,280 rooms, serving more than 6,000 guests per day. Many high-quality hotels and resorts have created their own brand for the eco-tourism area of ​​Mang Den commune.

Establishing a travel company in early 2025, Ms. Pham Bich Thao, Director of Smart Travel Company, cooperated with travel agencies to form an eco-tourism route to Mang Den and Ly Son Island.

In particular, promoting the potential and advantages to strongly attract tourism investment to form a development triangle including: Ly Son sea - island tourism center, Mang Den tourist area, Sa Huynh cultural special national relic according to the orientation of "three countries, one destination".

The merger of Quang Ngai and Kon Tum provinces has opened up a large administrative space with great potential. This strategic turning point has opened up a new development space, combining the potential and advantages of the dynamic coastal region and the majestic and unique Central Highlands. Quang Ngai with its new development space connects the culture and tourism of mountains, rivers, seas and islands.

Quang Ngai province currently has 232 national and provincial relics. In the new development space, the province promotes the exploitation of natural strengths, tourism potential and traditional heritage, culture and people from the highlands to the islands.

In the tourism development strategy for the coming years, Quang Ngai province will create unique products, connecting the "forest" and the "sea", realizing the strategy of "one destination, three countries". In particular, promoting the exploitation of the sea and island potential from Ly Son special zone, the landscape and climate advantages of Mang Den and the Indochina junction into a unique linked tourism product, where visitors can experience the diverse cultures of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia in the same journey.

Since the beginning of the year, Quang Ngai has welcomed about 3.5 million tourists, an increase of more than 15% over the same period last year; estimated revenue reached 2,100 billion VND.
