Quang Ngai: Unexpected reward for 2 brave individuals who saved a drowning person

On the morning of November 12, the People's Committee of An Phu commune, Quang Ngai province organized a surprise reward ceremony for two individuals who bravely saved a drowning person.

An Phu Commune People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to two brave individuals who saved a drowning person.

At the ceremony, Mr. Vo Thanh Vinh, Secretary of the Party Committee of An Phu commune, acknowledged and commended the bravery and responsibility for the community of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vuong, Head of Tan Thach village and Mr. Nguyen Xet (both from Tan Thach village, An Phu commune).

The two men's act of saving a drowning person not only demonstrated their kindness and noble deeds, but also set a shining example for everyone to follow.

Previously, at about 5:30 a.m. on November 11, while fishing near Lo estuary, An Phu commune, Mr. Pham Hung and his wife Do Thi Ha unfortunately had their boat sunk by a large wave.

Hearing the news, Mr. Vuong immediately jumped into the water to save people, but the strong currents prevented him from bringing the victims to shore. At that moment, Mr. Xet used a buoy to swim out to help. Thanks to the bravery and timely coordination of the two men and the people, Mr. Hung and his wife were brought to shore safely.
