Quang Ngai: Many places flooded again after heavy rain on the morning of November 1

On the morning of November 1, Quang Ngai province had heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall ranging from 100-250mm. Some localities were flooded again.

In Binh Chuong commune, Quang Ngai province, by 10 o'clock the same day, DT622B route, hamlet 6, An Diem 2 village (under Ngoc Tri bridge) was flooded, water overflowed the road surface. The authorities were present and blocked, temporarily stopping vehicles from passing to ensure safety.

Mr. Vo Van Tam, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Chuong Commune, requested members of the Commune Civil Defense Command, village chiefs, and units to focus on responding to rain, floods, flash floods, and landslides in the commune.

In Phuoc Giang commune, the rising river water caused deep flooding along the riverbank, with the central area, including the market and the commune People's Committee headquarters, being flooded about 50cm deep. In the area near the market alone, about 40 households were flooded, many houses were flooded, greatly affecting people's lives.

Mr. Tran Van Thien, Vice Chairman of Phuoc Giang Commune People's Committee, said that the locality has deployed forces to block off traffic to flooded areas and distributed life jackets to households to proactively respond to floods on the river.
