
Due to the impact of heavy rain, many landslides and road cracks appeared on National Highway 24. Specifically, at Km76+900 – Km77 (Kon Plong commune), cracks and subsidence were recorded; and at Km112+100 – Km112+200 (Mang Den commune), soil and rocks from the slopes flowed down, covering the road surface.
Mr. Nguyen Nhat Truong, Vice Chairman of Mang Den Commune People's Committee, said that the landslide occurred at 10:30 a.m. the same day, causing a local traffic jam. Currently, the road management company is organizing to clear and level the road to soon clear the road.
The Department of Construction warns that people and vehicles traveling on National Highway 24, especially at Vi O Lac Pass, Km76+900 – Km77 and Km112, need to reduce speed, observe carefully, especially at night, to proactively prevent the risk of landslides and ensure safety.
