Quang Ninh spends more than 1,700 billion VND to buy milk for students

GD&TĐ - The People's Council of Quang Ninh province has passed a resolution to support 100% of the money to buy milk for preschool children and primary school students from now until the 2030-2031 school year.

On November 14, the 14th term People's Council of Quang Ninh province held the 33rd Session (special session) and passed a Resolution on the policy of supporting school milk for preschool and primary school students at educational institutions in the area from the 2025-2026 to 2030-2031 school years.

The support rate is specifically regulated at 110ml of milk/child/day for nursery children. For preschool children and primary school students, the support is 180ml of milk/child/student/day.

The number of supported days in each school year is equal to the actual number of days children and students study directly at educational institutions, but not more than 175 days/school year.

The provincial budget supports 100% of the milk purchase cost, with the estimated budget for the 2025-2026 to 2030-2031 school year being about 1,725 ​​billion VND.

On average, each school year, about 207,000 children and students benefit from this policy with a cost of 2,875 billion VND/year.

This policy of profound humanitarian significance demonstrates the province's concern for future generations, contributing to improving physical strength, nutrition and creating a health foundation for children in all regions, especially in mountainous, border, island and ethnic minority areas.
