In 2025, Quang Ninh's tourism sector marked a spectacular breakthrough, reaching 21.28 million visitors for the first time, far exceeding the plan. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 57,000 billion VND, a growth of over 20% compared to the same period last year.

The biggest highlight is the event of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiet Bac complex of historical sites and scenic spots being officially inscribed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site in July 2025. This is not only a source of pride for the people of the mining region but also opens up new opportunities for the "heritage economy ," making Quang Ninh a locality possessing cultural values ​​of global significance.

In 2026, Quang Ninh province has identified tourism as its key economic sector. The goal is to welcome 22 million tourists, including 5 million international visitors, with total tourism revenue reaching at least 65,000 billion VND.

Assessing the tourism development potential of Quang Ninh province, Mr. Ha Van Sieu - Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, once exclaimed: "Quang Ninh is a destination unlike any other, because it has forests, seas, borders, everything like a miniature Vietnam; whatever Vietnam has, Quang Ninh also has."
