Quang Ninh welcomes the first international cruise ship Bac Hai

On November 14, Ha Long International Passenger Port (Bai Chay ward, Quang Ninh province) welcomed the luxury cruise ship Blue Dream Melody (China) carrying more than 1,100 tourists to visit Quang Ninh.

This is the first cruise ship of the 2025 cruise tourist season on the international sea route Beihai (China) - Ha Long (Vietnam).

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province organized a dragon and lion dance and presented flowers to welcome the first group of visitors to the port. It is expected that from November 2025, the route will operate 3 times a week with an expanded itinerary for sightseeing and experiences, expected to attract more visitors.

Previously, on November 13, Ha Long International Passenger Port also welcomed the ship Celebrity (Manta nationality) carrying 2,800 European and American tourists to visit Quang Ninh province.

The cruise ship duo Blue Dream Melody and Celebrity docked at the same time at Ha Long International Passenger Port, creating a beautiful scene that attracts young people to check-in along Ha Long sea route.

According to plan, tourists on the Blue Dream Melody ship when arriving in Quang Ninh will participate in the sightseeing program in Ha Long Bay, City tour Ha Long-Bai Chay.

It is expected that during the 2025-2026 cruise season (from October 2025 to April 2026), there will be 9 trips from the Bac Hai-Ha Long tourist route bringing passengers to Quang Ninh province.

From the beginning of the year to the end of October 2025, Ha Long International Passenger Port welcomed 44 international cruise ships, with a total number of passengers reaching 56,647, an increase of 9% over the same period last year.

Tourists mainly came from Europe, the United States and China, showing a strong recovery in the luxury cruise tourism segment.

The continuous arrival of international super cruise ships at the port is clearly demonstrating the growth of international tourists coming to Vietnam by sea.

Heritage destination - Ha Long Bay wonder is making a strong comeback on the regional tourism map, affirming its position as a gateway connecting the world with Vietnam's heritage.

A representative of Ha Long International Cruise Port said that the port will continue to cooperate closely with international shipping lines and travel partners to expand cruise itineraries, diversify products and bring authentic Vietnamese experiences to every tourist coming to Ha Long.

It is expected that in November, the port will receive 10 international cruises. By the end of the year, the total number of cruises arriving at the port will be 23, carrying about 32,000 passengers, bringing the total number of international cruise ship passengers in 2025 to nearly 90,000.

In the remaining two months of 2025, the Quang Ninh tourism industry strives to attract about 2.77 million visitors, with total tourism revenue of VND8,638 billion to complete the annual target of welcoming 21.2 million visitors and total revenue of VND58,000 billion./.
