Quang Ninh will support 100% of the cost of buying milk for preschool children and primary school students.

TPO - The People's Committee of Quang Ninh province is drafting a resolution on school milk policy, according to which the provincial budget will support 100% of the cost of buying milk for all preschool children and primary school students studying at educational institutions in the area.

Beneficiaries are preschool children and primary school students whose parents or guardians agree to give them milk according to the policy stipulated in the resolution. Children will be given milk during their actual school days at the educational institution, with the daily norm: 110ml for nursery children. 180ml for preschool children and primary school students, contained in a box, can or bag. The number of days supported in each school year is equal to the number of direct school days, but not exceeding 175 days/year.

Milk used in the program is sterilized fresh milk, must comply with current national technical regulations for liquid milk products, fully meet legal regulations on production conditions, product declaration and have a minimum shelf life of 180 days from the date of manufacture.

Quang Ninh will support 100% of the cost of buying milk for preschool children and primary school students.

According to calculations by the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, the total cost of implementing the school milk policy from the 2025-2026 school year to the 2030-2031 school year is about 1,725 ​​billion VND, entirely from the provincial budget.

On average, about 207,000 children and students benefit each year, with a budget of about 287.5 billion VND/school year. The policy is expected to contribute to physical development and improve the nutritional status of children in the area.
