This is a new tourism product within the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park Ecotourism, Resort and Entertainment Project for the 2021-2030 period and is also the first product to be launched right after the establishment of Quang Tri province.

Hang Chi Huy (also known as Hang NH), located at km12, Road 20 Quyet Thang, was the “strategic logistics base” of Command 559 during the resistance war against the US. This is where officers and soldiers of Station 14 received and transported thousands of tons of goods, weapons, and food to support the southern battlefield.

With a length of 150m and a width of 100m, the cave has 7 large floors, converted into a warehouse for storing weapons and equipment, a testament to the indomitable will and creativity of our army and people.

With the approval of the People's Committee of Quang Binh Province (old) and the active support of the Management Board of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, T20 Quyet Thang Limited Liability Company has invested in techniques and technology, creating unique cultural-historical tourism products with a vivid display system and impressive virtual reality experiences.

The Command Cave consists of 7 floors displaying simulated goods and military equipment, specifically: the 1st floor recreates the first aid treatment area with medical equipment, goods and ammunition; the 2nd floor recreates the strategic logistics storage area, from food to ammunition boxes and guns; the 3rd floor recreates the communications area; the 4th floor recreates the command area for officers.

The 5th floor recreates a warehouse of essential goods, ammunition boxes, guns and food; the 6th floor is a gathering area for food and weapons combined with a space to display relics of soldiers and remaining items in the cave; the 7th floor is a space to recreate the working and resting area of soldiers during the construction and protection of Road 20 Quyet Thang.

According to Mr. Nguyen Chau My, General Director of T20 Quyet Thang Limited Liability Company, what makes this tourism product unique and impressive is the virtual reality projection area designed to help visitors fully experience the feelings of the soldiers driving support vehicles on Highway 20 Quyet Thang, amidst the rain of bombs and bullets.

Visitors experience 9D projection technology with wind, bomb fumes, explosive smell, heat, and shaking movements in the cockpit of a Truong Son soldier driving a vehicle.

Visitors can sit on two Zil-130 vehicles - a legendary military transport vehicle during the war, affectionately known as the "packhorse" of the Truong Son soldiers. Integrating 9D experience technology, the virtual reality projection area combines vivid images with 360-degree viewing angles, realistic surround sound, environmental effects with wind, bomb fumes, explosives, heat, and shaking movements, realistically recreating the feeling behind the cockpit of a Truong Son soldier driving a vehicle.

Truong Son veteran Nguyen Huy Du shared that this new tourism product is truly a creative and convincing solution to preserve and convey those priceless historical values. This not only helps our generation relive the past once more, but also helps visitors, especially young people, not only know but also feel more deeply about the heroic Truong Son battlefield.
