The National Assembly Standing Committee has issued a resolution on the expected number, structure, and composition of the 16th National Assembly deputies. Accordingly, the 16th National Assembly is expected to have 500 deputies.
Notably, the appendix of the resolution clearly stated the expected structure and composition of the 16th National Assembly deputies in 34 provinces and cities.
Provinces and cities are expected to have from 16 to 38 deputies to the 16th National Assembly.
Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City is expected to have the largest number of 16th National Assembly deputies with 38 deputies, of which 17 deputies are expected to be introduced by central agencies and organizations, and 21 deputies are expected to be introduced by local agencies and organizations.
In the XV term, after merging with 2 localities and some National Assembly deputies moving to work there, currently the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation has 46 National Assembly deputies.
Hanoi is expected to have 32 delegates to the 16th National Assembly, of which 15 delegates are expected to be introduced by central agencies and organizations, and 17 delegates are expected to be introduced by local agencies and organizations.
An Giang is the third-ranked locality with an expected 21 delegates, of which 10 delegates are introduced by central agencies and organizations, and 11 delegates are introduced by local agencies and organizations.
There are 2 localities that are expected to be allocated 19 delegates, including Hai Phong City and Ninh Binh Province. Both of these localities are expected to have 9 delegates introduced by central agencies and organizations, and 10 delegates introduced by local agencies and organizations.
Four localities are expected to be allocated 18 delegates, including Dong Nai, Vinh Long, Dong Thap provinces, and Can Tho city. These localities are expected to have 8 delegates introduced by central agencies and organizations, and 10 delegates introduced by local agencies and organizations.
3 localities are expected to be allocated 17 delegates including Thanh Hoa, Phu Tho and Lam Dong provinces. These localities are expected to have 8 delegates introduced by central agencies and organizations, 9 delegates introduced by local agencies and organizations.
Four localities are expected to be allocated 16 delegates, including Nghe An, Gia Lai, Hung Yen, and Bac Ninh provinces. These localities are expected to have 7 delegates introduced by central agencies and organizations, and 9 delegates introduced by local agencies and organizations.
Provinces and cities are expected to have from 7 to 15 deputies to the 16th National Assembly.
According to the resolution, 2 localities are expected to be allocated 15 delegates including Dak Lak and Tay Ninh provinces. These two localities are expected to have 6 delegates introduced by central agencies and organizations, 9 delegates introduced by local agencies and organizations.
Da Nang City is expected to be allocated 14 delegates, including 6 delegates introduced by central agencies and organizations, and 8 delegates introduced by local agencies and organizations.
Ca Mau province is expected to be allocated 13 delegates, including 5 delegates introduced by central agencies and organizations, and 8 delegates introduced by local agencies and organizations.
Khanh Hoa province is expected to be allocated 12 delegates, including 5 delegates introduced by central agencies and organizations, and 7 delegates introduced by local agencies and organizations.
Quang Ngai province is expected to be allocated 11 delegates, including 5 delegates introduced by central agencies and organizations, and 6 delegates introduced by local agencies and organizations.
Four provinces are expected to be allocated 10 delegates, including Tuyen Quang, Quang Tri, Lao Cai, and Thai Nguyen, including four delegates introduced by central agencies and organizations and six delegates introduced by local agencies and organizations.
Four provinces and cities are expected to be allocated 9 delegates, including Ha Tinh, Quang Ninh, Hue City, Son La, of which 3 delegates are introduced by central agencies and organizations, and 6 delegates are introduced by local agencies and organizations.
Four provinces are expected to be allocated 7 delegates including Lang Son, Dien Bien, Cao Bang, Lai Chau, of which 3 delegates are introduced by central agencies and organizations, and 4 delegates are introduced by local agencies and organizations.
