The measure passed 314-108, with 106 Republicans and two Democrats opposing it. The Senate passed the bill earlier Thursday, by a 77-18 vote, ahead of a weekend deadline.

“We have good news for America. There will be no shutdown on Friday,” said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, a Democrat.
The Democratic-controlled Senate and Republican-controlled House of Representatives have the next important task of funding the government for the fiscal year that begins on October 1.
Mr Schumer and his House Republican counterpart, Mike Johnson, earlier this month agreed to a $1.59 trillion discretionary spending level for the fiscal year ending September 30.
This third temporary funding bill, known as a “continuing resolution” or “CR,” would only extend the spending levels of the past fiscal year through two deadlines, March 1 and March 8, for various government agencies.
