The National Assembly strengthens its supervisory function.

Recognizing the importance of supervision, the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee have issued resolutions on the 2023 and 2024 supervision programs to ensure feasibility and meet practical requirements. This content was mentioned at the ongoing seventh session.

One of the new points, different from the usual supervision activities to contribute to the improvement of policies and laws, is that for the first time, the National Assembly simultaneously supervised 3 national target programs right in the implementation phase to accelerate the completion of the set goals. In particular, based on the supervision results, the National Assembly considered and approved a Resolution on a number of specific mechanisms and policies to implement national target programs at the 5th Extraordinary Session. In 2024, the National Assembly conducted thematic supervision on "Implementation of policies and laws on real estate market management and social housing development" right after the Law on Real Estate Business (amended) and the Law on Housing (amended) were passed to contribute to bringing these laws into life soon. Supervision of the settlement of complaints, denunciations and recommendations of voters has been increasingly strengthened and become a regular activity.
