National Assembly deploys summary of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW on streamlining apparatus

On November 18, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man signed Resolution No. 1297/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the National Assembly Standing Committee establishing a Steering Committee on summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently" at the agencies of the National Assembly, agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee, and the Office of the National Assembly.

Accordingly, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man is the Head of the Steering Committee; National Assembly Vice Chairman Nguyen Thi Thanh is the Permanent Deputy Head of the Steering Committee.

Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly: Nguyen Khac Dinh, Nguyen Duc Hai, Tran Quang Phuong are Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee. Members of the National Assembly Standing Committee are members of the Steering Committee.

According to the Resolution, the Steering Committee is responsible for directing the summary of the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW in conjunction with the implementation results of Resolution No. 56/2017/QH14 dated November 24, 2017 of the National Assembly on continuing to reform the organization of the state administrative apparatus to be streamlined, effective and efficient.

At the same time, propose innovation and rearrangement of the political system's organizational structure to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently at the agencies of the National Assembly, agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee, and the National Assembly Office, report to the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly Party Delegation to synthesize, and report to the Central Steering Committee to submit to the Politburo and the 13th Party Central Committee.

The Delegation Work Committee under the National Assembly Standing Committee is the Standing Body of the Steering Committee.

Regarding the working regime of the Steering Committee, the members of the Steering Committee perform their tasks as assigned by the Head of the Steering Committee. The Steering Committee is assisted by an editorial team established by the Steering Committee.

The Steering Committee works part-time and is allowed to use the seal of the National Assembly Standing Committee to serve its work.

Also on November 18, the Steering Committee issued the following documents: Decision to establish the Editorial Team; Working regulations of the Steering Committee; Notice of assignment of tasks to members of the Steering Committee; Plan to summarize the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Central Executive Committee.

On the same day, the standing agency of the Steering Committee issued a Document on the implementation of the summary of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW to the agencies of the National Assembly, agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee, and the Office of the National Assembly.
