National Highway 51 is gridlocked after an accident between two container trucks.

On the morning of December 9th, a traffic accident involving two container trucks occurred on National Highway 51 in Phuoc Thai commune (Dong Nai province), causing serious traffic congestion on the road heading towards Vung Tau.

The scene of the traffic accident caused serious traffic congestion on National Highway 51.

According to initial information, at approximately 5:00 AM, a container truck with a Ho Chi Minh City license plate, traveling from Dong Nai to Vung Tau, collided with another container truck traveling in the same direction in front of it when it reached the section in front of Vedan Company (Phuoc Thai commune). The accident caused one container truck to overturn, blocking the entire road, while the other truck veered onto the sidewalk. Both drivers sustained minor injuries, but both tractor-trailer trucks were severely damaged.

The incident caused severe traffic congestion on the route from Dong Nai to Vung Tau. Some drivers said they had waited for more than 3 hours but were still unable to move.

Police and traffic police forces in Dong Nai province are coordinating traffic management and investigating the cause of the incident.
