Accordingly, Acting Minister Le Manh Hung led a delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Trade to inspect and work at Petrolimex Hanoi Co., Ltd., Duc Giang Petroleum Depot under the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), and Retail Petrol Station No. 85. Also participating in the Ministry of Industry and Trade delegation were leaders from the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development; the Electricity Department; the Department of Industrial Safety and Environment; the Planning, Finance and Enterprise Management Department; the Ministry's Office; and other relevant units.
Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Tran Huu Linh, Director of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development, stated that Vietnam's petroleum consumption in 2025 is estimated at approximately 26.4 million cubic meters/tons (an average consumption of about 2.2 million cubic meters/tons per month for all types of petroleum), an increase of 1.85% compared to 2024. Currently, Petrolimex accounts for about 43% of the national petroleum market share. With a total distribution volume of over 11.396 million cubic meters/tons for the domestic market, Petrolimex plays a pivotal role in ensuring energy security and stabilizing the supply and demand of petroleum in the country.

Acting Minister Le Manh Hung visited and inspected Petrolimex Hanoi Co., Ltd. and Duc Giang Petroleum Depot, both belonging to the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex).
Regarding the situation and preparations for ensuring the supply of petroleum products to meet consumer demand during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, Mr. Luu Van Tuyen - General Director of Petrolimex - stated that in 2026, the Group has signed purchase contracts with suppliers, with a total volume of approximately 7.8 million cubic meters/tons, equivalent to nearly 70% of the domestic sales volume in 2025. He also affirmed that the Group has a plan to ensure the supply of petroleum products in the distribution system to serve the period before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026. Regarding contingency plans, Petrolimex leaders said that the Group has directed its member units to proactively secure supplies and ensure sufficient petroleum products for Petrolimex's distribution system, absolutely preventing any disruption in supply; retail outlets will maintain regular sales according to the registered schedule.

Specifically in the Hanoi market, Petrolimex Hanoi has developed plans, proactively secured supplies and transportation capacity to ensure a full and continuous supply to its retail outlets and customers in the area, while also providing resources for petroleum companies in the North in all situations.
Highly appreciating the proactive and serious spirit in ensuring the supply of petroleum products, Acting Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung acknowledged that Petrolimex has successfully fulfilled its mission of contributing to national energy security in three aspects: ensuring sufficient supply; preventing supply disruptions in the context of crises; and building an effective corporate governance system, optimizing costs, thereby meeting the accessibility needs of people and businesses.
Emphasizing Petrolimex's role as a leading state-owned enterprise in the petroleum market, Acting Minister Le Manh Hung stated that Petrolimex has a significant responsibility in ensuring a sufficient, timely, and continuous supply of petroleum products to the economy. The Acting Minister urged Petrolimex to continue to uphold its assigned mission and ensure the supply of petroleum products – the "lifeline" of the economy – in all circumstances.

Acting Minister Le Manh Hung delivered a directive speech at the working session.
To effectively carry out the above tasks, Acting Minister Le Manh Hung requested Petrolimex to focus on monitoring the supply and demand situation globally and domestically, thereby calculating and ensuring the supply of gasoline and crude oil; continue to review and closely assess the domestic supply and demand situation for gasoline and oil, proactively develop and implement appropriate plans for stockpiling, importing, and regulating supply; and ensure a stable and continuous supply of gasoline and oil throughout the period before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026.
Furthermore, focus on organizing a well-functioning distribution and retail system; direct affiliated gas stations and dealers to operate normally and sell fuel fully according to regulations. At the same time, closely adhere to State regulations in cost management and price control; ensure uninterrupted supply while maintaining accessibility for the public and businesses. In business operations, close coordination with state management agencies (especially the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development) is necessary in reporting, providing information, and promptly handling emerging situations. In addition, strengthen safety measures in gasoline and oil business operations, particularly fire safety, safety at depots, ports, and retail outlets; and ensure security and order at gas stations during the peak Tet holiday period.
The Acting Minister also noted that the Group's leadership pays attention to the well-being and working conditions of employees; arranges a reasonable workforce for Tet holiday duty, and ensures that employees receive their entitlements and benefits as prescribed. He also affirmed that the Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to closely coordinate with other ministries, sectors, and localities to closely monitor developments in the petroleum market and promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles for businesses. He stressed the need to resolutely handle violations of the law that affect energy security and consumer rights.

Acting Minister Le Manh Hung presents gifts to encourage Petrolimex officials and employees.
Acting Minister Le Manh Hung expressed confidence that, with its tradition, experience, and high sense of responsibility, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group will successfully fulfill its assigned tasks, contributing to ensuring a stable supply of petroleum products to serve the people nationwide in celebrating the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026 safely, joyfully, and healthily.
