On the afternoon of October 13, the Economic Corridor Cooperation Conference of 5 provinces and cities of Lao Cai, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh (Vietnam) and Yunnan (China), also known as the 10th Vietnam - China Economic Corridor Cooperation Conference, closed.
Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh delivered the closing speech at the conference.
In his closing speech, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh said that after a day of active, serious and responsible work, the conference was a great success, completing the entire proposed program.
The results achieved in recent times have demonstrated the vitality of the cooperation mechanism between provinces and cities in the economic corridor; contributing to strengthening solidarity, friendship, promoting peace , stability and prosperity between Vietnam and China.
According to Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh, this conference also pointed out a number of shortcomings, limitations, and problems arising from practice that affect the progress of implementing cooperation agreements.
At the conference, delegates proposed a number of solutions to promote and improve the quality of cooperation in the coming time. In particular, they agreed to prioritize a number of areas such as investment and trade exchange; cooperation in tourism development; transportation; education, culture, human resource training; healthcare, disease prevention and control, and agricultural development.
At the same time, encourage localities to continue researching and innovating cooperation methods, seeking appropriate information exchange channels, creating the best conditions for agencies, units and businesses to exchange and connect. From there, open up investment and business cooperation opportunities to effectively exploit the strengths of each locality, on the basis of compliance with the law and international treaties.
Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh handed over the flag to host the 11th conference to Chairman of the Yunnan Provincial People's Committee (China) Liu Xiaokai.
Mr. Tran Sy Thanh said that this conference agreed to maintain meetings and exchange information between localities, and decided that the 11th conference will be held in Yunnan province (China) in 2025.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Yunnan Provincial People's Committee Liu Xiaokai thanked the Hanoi People's Committee and relevant units for successfully organizing this conference; emphasizing that the conference took place in a frank and effective atmosphere, achieving many important results, thereby continuing to contribute to promoting friendly relations, connecting development, and deepening cooperation between the two countries.

Within the framework of the closing ceremony, the signing ceremony of the Minutes of the 10th Vietnam - China Economic Corridor Cooperation Conference took place.
According to Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh, the signing of this document demonstrates the desire and determination of localities in building a prosperous and sustainably developed economic corridor. Mr. Tran Sy Thanh believes that with the aspiration and determination of localities, together with the attention, support and facilitation of the Government and central ministries and branches of the two countries, a prosperous economic corridor will certainly soon become a reality.
