On November 14, Hanoi City Police in collaboration with Hanoi Radio and Television held the launching ceremony of the long-running TV series “Trang An Firewall”. This is the first TV series to deal with cases related to high-tech crimes such as virtual currency and online fraud.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Public Security , from the end of 2019 to mid-2024, cyber fraud cases caused losses of more than 12 trillion VND. The "Mr. Pips" case alone, with the amount of money appropriated nearly 6 trillion VND, shows the sophistication, cunning and particularly serious consequences of this type of crime.
Faced with this worrying situation, Hanoi Police and Hanoi Radio and Television determined that reflecting on high-tech fraud tricks through cinematic language is part of the political propaganda mission of the press and media agencies, helping people identify, be vigilant and proactively protect themselves.

The film's content revolves around a tense battle of wits between the police force and a large-scale "virtual currency" crime ring, built on real cases busted by Hanoi police in late 2024.
The story begins when a family in Hanoi, in an effort to recover money lost on a virtual currency exchange, accidentally delved into a complex and dangerous underground world.
“The Firewall of Trang An” takes the audience into the world of high-tech crime, exposing the sophisticated traps that bad guys are setting across cyberspace. The film follows the journey of an elite investigative force in the relentless fight to protect people in the digital space.
Going beyond the framework of a TV series, the project is an effort of the City Police and Hanoi Radio and Television Station to propagate and warn people about fraudulent tricks in the digital space, helping to improve knowledge to protect themselves and their families when participating in the online environment.
The film has a special meaning when it was deployed at a time when Hanoi was the place where the “United Nations Convention against Cybercrime” (Hanoi Convention) was signed at the end of October 2025. In the context of global efforts to establish “firewalls” to protect cyberspace, “Trang An Firewall” appears as a companion voice, spreading the spirit of responsibility and international cooperation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung - Director of Hanoi City Police affirmed that the film "Trang An Firewall" is not only a television work of artistic value, but also a vivid and meaningful propaganda activity, realistically recreating the image of the Capital Police soldiers in the uncompromising fight against high-tech crime.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung pledged to always accompany the Film Crew throughout the production process, from providing professional content advice to preparing the best conditions in terms of personnel, equipment and facilities.
"I believe that 'Trang An Firewall' will not only conquer television audiences, but also contribute to educating traditions, fostering trust, pride and solidarity between the Capital Police force and the people - a relationship that has become the strength to maintain peace for the thousand-year-old capital," Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung emphasized.
General Director and Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Radio and Television Nguyen Kim Khiem sent his thanks to the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of Hanoi City Police and the collective of officers and soldiers for supporting and creating conditions for the film to be completed and released to the audience. At the same time, he expressed his wish to continue receiving the cooperation and companionship of Hanoi Police so that the film can spread properly, contributing to maintaining the peace of the capital and the country.
“Trang An Firewall” is not only a TV series, but also a social media project with profound cultural and humanistic significance, clearly demonstrating the role of Hanoi Radio and Television in promoting the power of the press and media to accompany the authorities in the fight against high-tech crime.
Through the language of cinema, the work also honors the cultural and humanistic values of Hanoi - City for Peace. "Trang An Firewall" is also a warning and a call for the community to join hands in building a "firewall" with social awareness, together creating a safe and healthy cyberspace, for the peaceful life of each citizen and the sustainable development of the Capital in the digital age.
