Artisan Bui Anh Tan, Chairman of the Tam Ky Ward Bai Choi Club, shared: “I hope that the art of Bai Choi will continue to be inherited and developed, not forgotten in modern life.

The club will try to maintain weekly training classes, creating a regular space to attract and gather those who are passionate about Bai Choi. Through this, we hope to discover more new factors to continue to nurture and train.

At the same time, I hope the Ward People's Committee will soon develop a plan to include Bài Chòi in extracurricular classes at schools. When children are exposed to it from a young age, we will discover young people who have talent, love and enthusiasm for this traditional art form. This will be the next generation, contributing to preserving and promoting the precious heritage that our ancestors have left behind."

During the launching ceremony of the Tam Ky Ward Bai Choi Club held at the Da Nang Museum, Campus 2, last weekend, the audience, including many young people, pupils and students, immersed themselves in the bustling atmosphere of the traditional Bai Choi festival when joining the artists, "Anh Hieu" and "Chi Hieu", in the Bai Choi singing part.

Mr. Bui Tan Cong, Vice Chairman of Tam Ky Ward People's Committee, suggested that the Bai Choi Club continue to coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, associations, unions, schools and residential blocks in Tam Ky Ward to expand the Bai Choi movement in the community. At the same time, pay attention to discovering and nurturing young talents among the youth, creating a source of inheritance for the long-term development of this traditional art form.

The establishment of the Tam Ky Ward Bai Choi Club, in addition to contributing to preserving and promoting the value of the art form recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity, also realizes the plan to inventory, collect and digitize Bai Choi heritage in the city.

When spread in the community, Bai Choi will continue to make positive contributions to local cultural and artistic life.
