Launching the book of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on building a clean and strong People's Public Security force

On the afternoon of November 11, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, and the National Political Publishing House Su That jointly organized a ceremony to introduce the book "Building a truly clean and strong People's Public Security force, sacrificing oneself for the country and serving the people" by the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Following the book "Some issues on military guidelines and national defense strategies in the cause of building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the new period", the book "Building a truly clean and strong People's Public Security force, selflessly serving the country and the people" is a work of profound theoretical and practical value, demonstrating Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong's consistent concern for the task of ensuring national security, social order and safety, and firmly protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The 600-page book “Building a truly clean, strong People's Public Security force, selflessly serving the country and the people”, published by the Truth National Political Publishing House, selects 39 important articles, speeches, letters and instructions of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to the People's Public Security force through many periods and in many working positions, vividly reflecting reality, while also demonstrating his consistent theoretical thinking, strategic vision and sentiments towards the task of protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety. At the same time, the book selects 56 opinions, expressing the sentiments of officers and soldiers of all forces and localities across the country.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, affirmed that in order for the People's Public Security force to successfully complete all political tasks and be worthy of being a reliable support for the Party, State and people, the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong paid special attention to directing the work of building a truly clean and strong People's Public Security force, closely attached to the people, and closely coordinating and cooperating with the People's Army.

According to General Luong Tam Quang, the book "Building a truly clean, strong People's Public Security force, selflessly serving the country and the people" is not only a valuable source of information, but also a compass and orientation for the entire People's Public Security force in working, fighting and building the force in the following years, for Party committees, authorities and localities at all levels in leading and managing the work of protecting security and order; motivating, encouraging, arousing patriotism, guiding the masses to actively participate in the cause of protecting the Fatherland in general, and the cause of protecting security and order in particular.

The first part "Building a strong, comprehensive People's Public Security force, worthy of being an absolutely loyal force to the Party, State and people" selects 20 articles, speeches, letters, and interviews by Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, demonstrating the consistent thinking, strategic vision, and deep concern of the Party Central Committee and the late General Secretary on the task of innovating the Public Security apparatus to be lean, compact, strong, and modern; educating and training Public Security officers and soldiers with pure revolutionary ethics and proficient professional skills, worthy of being the "steel shield" and "sword" protecting the Party, State and people.

Part two "The People's Public Security Force firmly protects national security, ensures social order and safety, forgets itself for the country, serves the people" selects 19 articles and speeches by Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, affirming the requirement to build a People's Public Security Force with steadfast political will, absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, Party, State, and people; has pure moral qualities, a healthy and exemplary lifestyle, is closely attached to the people, serves the people; has a high sense of discipline, is strict, is ready to fight and sacrifice for the Fatherland.
