On the afternoon of November 26, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh coordinated with the People's Committee of Co Dam commune to launch the model "Prevention and control of domestic violence" in Ky Dong village.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of departments, branches and 40 members, trusted addresses in preventing domestic violence.
A happy, harmonious family will be a solid foundation for a civilized, progressive society. However, in recent years, domestic violence still exists, causing many serious consequences, affecting the health, spirit, and even the lives of family members, especially women and children.
To continue raising awareness of building and maintaining sustainable happiness for each family, towards stability and civilization in society, in recent years, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has implemented many state management activities on family such as propaganda, organizing competitions, launching ceremonies, especially implementing the construction of model family models. Up to now, the whole province has 20 model family models.
The model "Prevention and control of domestic violence" was established in Ky Dong village, Co Dam commune, including the following components: sustainable family development club; group for prevention and control of domestic violence; and trusted address in the community.
Accordingly, the core task of the members is to mobilize everyone to participate in implementing the Party and State's guidelines, policies and laws on family work; to promote the sense of responsibility in building a prosperous, progressive and happy family; to propagate the contents of family work for the Club and to develop new members who voluntarily participate in long-term, active and full activities and to build the Club to develop more and more.
At the same time, closely contact the mediation team and the masses in the residential area, promptly detect, speak up and coordinate with the authorities to intervene and support when there are signs of violence, contributing to protecting the rights and safety of family members. Visit, encourage and remind families at risk of violence, thereby building a cultural lifestyle, maintaining neighborhood relationships, harmony, solidarity, helping each other, and together building a peaceful and happy residential area.
The launch of the model for preventing and combating domestic violence aims to raise awareness among local Party committees, authorities and people about the position, role and importance of the family and preventing and combating domestic violence. At the same time, it enhances the effectiveness of moral and lifestyle education ; preserves and promotes good values of family relationships, strives to build a prosperous, progressive, happy and civilized family.
At the ceremony, participants were also instructed on how to organize model activities and some contents of the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented a set of loudspeakers, supporting the model of preventing domestic violence to Ky Dong village, Co Dam commune.
