The first Kim Dong Literature Award (2023-2025) is an award organized by Kim Dong Publishing House with the desire to discover more writers for children, to have more new, quality literary works, conveying many meaningful messages about the people and country of Vietnam.
Recently, the Organizing Committee of the Kim Dong Literature Award has organized creative campaigns for children through meetings and exchanges with authors at the Literature and Arts Associations of Binh Dinh, Gia Lai, Dak Lak and An Giang provinces.

After a period of launching, the Organizing Committee of the first Kim Dong Literature Award received more than 200 manuscripts from authors from all over the country.
The first 5 works competing for the Award have been published by Kim Dong Publishing House and introduced to readers, including Tet Gifts of the Green Forest (Hong Chien), Musical Note-Shaped Kite (Nie Thanh Mai), Forest Winter (Suong Nguyet Minh), Jump and Shout (Phong Diep) and Chaos in Grandpa's House (Nguyen Xuan Thuy).
The story collection Tet Gifts of the Green Forest by author Hong Chien includes 14 short stories full of the flavor of the Central Highlands mountains and forests. The author has skillfully exploited materials from indigenous cultural identity to the richness of nature here.
Winter in the Forest is the latest novel by writer Suong Nguyet Minh. The novel consists of 20 chapters about the reluctant adventure of Golden Dog in the vast, pristine Tam Diep forest with hunters and wild animals.
The work is a song praising the wild beauty and majestic nature of Tam Diep mountains and forests and sounds a loud and fierce alarm bell about the need for humans to protect, respect and live in harmony with nature and animals on earth to protect their own lives.
The Musical Note Kite is a novel by writer Nie Thanh Mai with the 9-year-old boy Den Pha as the main character in the story.
The simple stories surrounding Den Pha's life are told by author Nie Thanh Mai with fresh, vivid emotions, from the story of his father building a chicken coop, his grandmother raising rabbits, growing vegetables, his grandfather working as a security guard, his mother knitting sweaters... through Den Pha's eyes, everything is very interesting and full of love. The boy's pure heart is constantly nurtured and expanded by the small, beautiful stories that happen every day.
Meanwhile, Jump and Scream and Chaos at Grandparents' House are two long stories written about the context of the epidemic season spreading to the city, giving readers the opportunity to "get a ticket back to childhood".
