Colonel, Journalist Do Phu Tho , Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Veterans Newspaper, delivered the opening speech.

Colonel Do Phu Tho expressed his admiration for author Nguyen Hoa Van - whom he considered a brother, teacher and friend. He praised the author for his excellent career in journalism despite not having received formal training, and for becoming a sharp political writer after retirement.

The book “Breakthrough Thinking” consists of two main parts. Part I focuses on thoroughly explaining the current situation, causes, and consequences of corruption, waste, and negativity, with famous series of articles such as “Fighting against ‘Running’ will lead to success”, “The Art of War Against Internal Invaders” and “Resolving paradoxes and contradictions on the chosen path”. Part II delves into the Party's viewpoints in the "four pillars" of the Resolution, proposing solutions to put the Resolutions into practice, with a series of articles on combating waste, barriers in revolutions, and innovation in legislative thinking.

At the seminar, experts analyzed the value of the work. Dr. Hoang Xuan Luong, former Deputy Minister and Vice Chairman of the Ethnic Committee, affirmed that Mr. Nguyen Hoa Van's work has a difference in the way it leads, explains and interprets the problem, and is courageously critical but responsible and constructive. He emphasized that the issues raised by the author, although written more than 5 years ago, still have value in practice.

Major General Nguyen Hong Thai highly appreciated Part II, especially the article on the use of talented people. Author Nguyen Hoa Van affirmed: “Use of talented people is the key to resolving bottlenecks, building a rule-of-law state to bring the country forward in the new era”.

If “Breakthrough Thinking” is a sharp political voice, the poetry collection “Why Love” opens up a profound perspective on life, expressing the romantic and sensitive soul of a soldier and journalist. Journalist Nguyen An Thanh shared that this poetry collection does not only stop at love between couples but also shows great love for the Fatherland, people and comrades, especially admiration and encouragement for the country’s talents.
